Sanitation and Public Health: A Heritage to Remember and Continue

Citation:

M. Greenberg, Sanitation and Public Health: A Heritage to Remember and Continue, American Journal of Public Health, 102 (2), 204-206, 2012.

The author reflects on a lack of proper sanitation and lack of access to clean drinking water which exist in 2012 in many countries across the globe outside of the U.S. He suggests that the personal and economic costs of the lack of proper sanitation are enormous. He argues that research and educational skills, along with monetary contributions, can make a large difference in the global fight against unsanitary conditions and can lead to improvements in global public health.
